About EB Interviews

EB Interviews is a database of real interview questions from boutique investment banks, organized so interviewers can build better interviews and candidates can prepare for what they will actually face.

Our origins

We started EB Interviews as a side project in 2020, after leaving investment banking. We wanted to build a product narrow enough to properly solve two problems.

For students, elite boutique interviews are significantly harder and more distinctive than middle market or bulge bracket processes. A dedicated boutique question base lets candidates study what actually matters.

For bankers, writing interview questions is a time-consuming hassle, and there is no way to measure the difficulty of your interview against competing banks.

This site solves both problems by recording real, complete interviews and the questions actually asked in them. Other platforms rely on material whose authenticity is questionable; we have found our database to be a far more accurate picture of what these interviews are really like.

Our questions

Having spent time on both sides of the interview process, we already had an extensive collection of interview material when building EB Interviews. Since then, we have seen firsthand how recruiting standards and interview questions continue to evolve.

To keep our content current, we source questions directly from interviewers and, in select cases, recent interviewees. We believe in quality over quantity, so we regularly review, update, and remove outdated questions to ensure our platform reflects the most relevant and accurate interview experiences.
